![]() |
Abstract:
QD Vision, Inc. (www.qdvision.com), developer of Quantum Light nanotechnology-based products for lighting and displays, today announced it has been selected for the second straight year to the GoingGreen East 50 Top Private Company List.
The AlwaysOn Going Green East 50 represents a wide variety of emerging growth companies across the industry, including companies in energy management, energy storage, green transportation, green materials and building, life-sciences, water treatment and technologies, biofuels, solar energy, and other clean energy technologies.
QD Vision's Quantum Light product platform enables breakthrough performance and significant systems cost savings without the cost/performance trade-offs typical of other materials and lighting technologies. The Quantum Light platform utilizes the unique light-emitting properties of semiconductor nanocrystals to deliver a new value proposition for LED-based products, including extraordinary color quality, high-power efficiency, manufacturing versatility and design flexibility.
The first product using the company's Quantum Light Optic, The Nexxus Array Quantum LED R30 lamp, began shipping this month, and is being highlighted this week by Nexxus Lighting at the GlobalShop Retail show in Las Vegas.
"Being selected to the GoingGreen East 50 list for the second straight year is a real honor for the company," said Dan Button, president and CEO of QD Vision. "We have made significant progress working with display and lighting companies to bring game-changing, high-efficiency products to market."
GoingGreen East 50 winners are selected by AlwaysOn editors in collaboration with KPMG. Judging criteria included market opportunity, nature of innovation, media buzz and awareness, commercialization and ability to create stakeholder value. The companies must also be located in the Eastern United States and Canada.
