Abstract:
The book “Current and Future Developments in Nanomaterials and Carbon Nanotubes: Applications of Nanomaterials in Energy Storage and Electronics” consists of 15 chapters that summarize the recent progress in applications of nanomaterials like metal oxides, carbon nano-onions, carbon nanotubes and graphene oxides-based hybrids, Photovoltaic (PV) system in solar energy harvesting, opto-electronics, polymer exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), bio-electronics.
Some of the chapters summarize the recent progress in applications of nanomaterials like Carbon Nanotubes, Metal Oxides, and Graphene oxides-based hybrids in solar energy harvesting using recent Photovoltaic Technologies. Similarly, some of the chapters review the fundamentals and state-of-the-art developments on Nanowires, Graphene Quantum Dots, Boron nitrides, Carbon Nano Onions and Metal Organic Frameworks leading to the fabrication of Super capacitors, Bio-sensors, Lithium ion batteries and Hydrogen storage applications. Further, few chapters discuss the next generation fuel cells using Polymer Nano composites, Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Nanocomposite and Opto-electronic Nanomaterials for optical memory and displays devices.
• Describes the fundamentals of types of nanomaterials (Nanowires, Graphene Quantum Dots, Boron nitrides, Carbon nano onions and metal organic frameworks (MOFs), synthesis process and their applications in energy generation and storage
• Reviews important photovoltaic applications of nano materials, including their use in energy storage, batteries and optoelectronic devices
• Discusses application of nanomaterials in electronics for sensing, bioelectronics, memory, Nano composites for fuel cell, and ferroelectric liquid crystal Nano composite and Opto-electronic Nanomaterials for optical memory and displays
The present book “Current and Future Developments in Nanomaterials and Carbon Nanotubes: Applications of Nanomaterials in Energy Storage and Electronics” will immensely benefit scientists, engineers, academic researchers, research scholars and post graduate and graduate students working in the area of nanomaterials for energy generation, storage and opto-electronics.
