Abstract:
Behran Filter Industrial Manufacturing Company is one of the Iranian companies that are active in the field of production of various types of filters for vehicles, industries and power plants.
The company created an evolution in filter manufacturing industry in Iran by producing nanocoated filters in 2011.
"The company succeeded in the commercialization of its nanofilters four years ago, and power plants in Kerman, Abadan and Qom are using nanofilters produced by Behran Filter Company," Mahmoud Faqihi, the deputy manager of Behran Filter Company stated.
"There is a layer of nanofibers in power plant nanofitlers made by Behran Filter Company," he said about the technical details of the filters. "The nanofilters have smaller pores in comparison with filter papers. Therefore, the efficiency in separation of particles increases while the rate of pressure drop decreases and the life of the filter increases too."
"Among the most important advantages of Behran Filter power plant filters, mention can be made of better protection of turbine pieces in the power plant, reducing the cost of stops, increasing the power of electricity production and increasing the life of filters up to at least 1.5 times," Faqihi said.
He explained about another product of the company, and said, "Air nanofilter for heavy vehicles is another product of the company, which employs nanofiber technology in a vehicle air filter to obtain very high efficiency in filtration process. The technology used in this product provides the maximum protection of vehicle engine just like the filtration of air in power plant turbines. This technology even stops tiny dusts in the air."
Among the properties of the filters, mention can be made of high filtration efficiency, reduction in fuel consumption, increasing engine power and strength and increasing the life of the product in comparison with normal filters.
