Abstract:
The first day of Bangalore INDIA NANO 2013, Asia's biggest annual nanoscience & nanotech event, organised by the Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka under the able guidance of the Vision Group on Nanotechnology concluded with the presentation of Bangalore INDIA NANO Innovation Award 2013, Malhotra Weikfield Foundation Nano Science Fellowship Award 2013, Best Exhibitor Award 2013 and Best Poster Awards 2013. 
The Award Presentation was presided by Prof. C.N.R. Rao, FRS, National Research Professor; Linus Pauling Research Professor; Honorary President, JNCASR; Chairman, Science Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India; Chairman, Vision Group on Science & Technology and Nanotechnology, Govt. of Karnataka, the dignitaries included Nobel Laureate Prof. Sir Andre Geim, FRS Kt, Regius and Royal Society Research Professor, School of Physics & Astronomy, University of Manchester, UK. Mr. Srivatsa Krishna, IAS, Secretary to Government, Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology and (DPAR) e-Governance, Government of Karnataka, Prof. A.K. Sood, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Bangalore INDIA NANO Innovation Award 2013 was presented by Nobel Laureate Prof. Sir Andre Geim, FRS Kt, Regius and Royal Society Research Professor, School of Physics & Astronomy, University of Manchester, UK, to RESIL CHEMICALS PRIVATE LIMITED represented by Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan and his team for the Technology: Antibacterial nanosilver synthesis technologies for textile products.
Malhotra Weikfield Foundation NanoScience Fellowship Award for the year 2013 was presented by Bharat Ratna Awardee Prof. C.N.R. Rao, FRS, National Research Professor; Linus Pauling Research Professor; which carried a cash prize of ₹.50,000/- each to:
