Abstract:
Five companies producing Nano products for the auto industry and three companies active in producing Nano textiles have showcased their latest achievements in the Automobile and Textile sections of the Fourth Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition in Tehran.

Tehran, Iran | Posted on October 8th, 2011Among the achievements presented in this zone, mention can be made of intelligent glasses made of specific polymers, electronic kits, and controllable opaque and transparent glasses. Such glasses are known as the new generation of monitors and they can be appropriate substitutes for LCD and LED monitors. Being touchable in all spots, such glasses provide numerous applications with high efficiency for consumers.
Engine oil made by using nanotechnology, radiator cooling systems and thermal exchangers based on nanotechnology, and nonflammable goods are among other products presented in the Automobile Zone.
Three companies presented their achievements in Textile Zone of the Fourth Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition. The products presented in this section include nano-thread, various types of clothes containing nanomaterials and anti-bacterial clothes.
According to the industrialists active in the field of textile, textile clothes made by using nanotechnology require less washing. Moreover, characteristics such as anti-microbe, anti-virus, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungi can be created in the clothes by using nanotechnology. The resistance against depreciation increases in such products due to nanotechnology.
Various types of nylon threads based on nanotechnology have been presented in this year's exhibition. Such threads benefit from anti-bacterial properties and they possess high durability. Silver nanoparticles are used in the structure of some of the produced threads.
