Abstract:
"Microsystems and Nanotechnology: Academic and Industrial Collaboration in Research and Application" is the major focus of the seventh edition of the annual Netherlands MicroNanoConference, organised by NanoNextNL and MinacNed this year. Previous editions enjoyed attendance levels of approximately 450 academics and industrialists, visiting both the exhibition and the conference.
The two-day program (with all sessions in English) is a unique mix of industrial and academic presentations, making this event the meeting place for the Dutch and International micro and nano community. An overview of the latest developments in micro- and nanotechnology will have an emphasis on linking academic research with potential applications and many inspiring discussions are expected. The 'content-based' conference program addresses both academics and industrialists. The key themes of the conference are food and water, sensors and actuators, nanoinstrumentation and tools, bio-nano science, systems and technology, micro- and nanofluidics, biosensing, risk analyses, nanomedicine, micro and nanophotonics, nanomaterials, micro- and nanofabrication.
Keynote lectures will be held by speakers from the University of Cambridge, MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, the University of Twente, WiSpry, K.U.Leuven, 4-LABS, Georgia Institute of Technology, IMTEK University of Freiburg and the Dutch House of Representatives.
Approximately thirty leading organisations support this conference by exhibiting their latest products and services. This technology exhibition gives a good opportunity for demonstrations and in-depth discussions.
