Home > Press > mPhase's Smart NanoBattery to Be Spotlighted at Third Annual Nano Renewable Energy Summit in Denver on May 24-25
Abstract:
Company Showcases Its Modernization of an Age-Old Approach to Energy Storage
mPhase Technologies, Inc. (XDSL 0.01, 0.00, 0.00%), the developer of Power On Command(TM) battery technologies, said today that it will be speaking about its new approach to modernizing energy storage at the Third Annual Nano Renewable Energy Summit (www.nanoenergysummit.org/) being held May 24 and 25 at the University of Denver in Colorado.
mPhase Technologies' Smart NanoBattery is a modern-day approach to bringing battery technology up to date. It is enabled by breakthroughs in microfluidics, MEMS processing and nanotechnology. By making a silicone-separating structure that can precisely control the mixture of a liquid electrolyte into the battery's electrodes compartment, mPhase has enabled the first-ever smart programmable battery technology.
Ronald A. Durando, CEO of mPhase Technologies, said, "We continue to push battery technology into the 21st century through the creation of a man-made smart surface, which allows complete control of the way power is managed, while creating a battery that is more friendly to the environment."
The Nano Renewable Energy Summit is a gathering of world-renowned experts at the intersection of renewable energy and nanotechnology, with a specific focus on the business, commercialization and economic development potential of emerging technologies in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors. The event will address a variety of subjects related to nanotechnology and renewable energy.
"Nanotechnology holds tremendous promise in solving many of our most critical energy problems," said Vincent Caprio, Executive Director of the NanoBusiness Alliance. "We're confident that this week's Nano Renewable Energy Summit will take us one step closer toward realizing that potential."
