Abstract:
Kashan and Saint Petersburg universities signed a scientific-educational memorandum of understanding with an aim of developing cooperation.
The agreement is to focus the two entities' collaboration in the strategic fields such as solar energy, nanotechnology and exchange of students at the doctoral level.
In a meeting with an academic delegation from Kashan, chancellor of the Saint Petersburg Polytechnics University, Michael Feodoroff called for expansion of scientific ties between the two countries and described prospects for mutual cooperation as bright.
Describing Iranian scientists' progress as remarkable, he noted that communications between the two countries' youth and elites top the agendas of Russian and Iranian scientific centers, IRNA reported.
Saint Petersburg Polytechnics University, as one of the most prestigious European universities, is keen to expand coorperation with Iranian universities in the fields of modern technologies such as solar energy and nanotechnology.
Saint Petersburg is Russia's second largest city after Moscow.
