Abstract:
Call for Venture & Partnering Presentations and $10,000 Award Prize for Cleantech 2007, May 23-24, 2007 in Santa Clara, Calif.
TechConnect.org, producers of Cleantech 2007, today announced the deadline for submission for the Cleantech 2007 Ventures & Partnering presentations.
"With a week left for submissions, we have seen quite a few proposals and are still looking for more last-minute submissions to come," said Bart Romanowicz, Executive Technology Director of TechConnect.org. "The award money is really a nice bonus but the driver for innovators is to bring together new perspectives and new technologies to improve today's products, services and manufacturing processes. The awards just help to showcase the truly leading-edge companies, as well as their go to market strategies."
"The Cleantech 2007 Ventures & Partnering Presentation Awards are a part of the Cleantech 2007 conference on global sustainability addressing advancements in traditional technologies, emerging technologies and clean business practices. The Awards acknowledge business plan and partnering presentations that contribute to the goal of accelerating the flow of clean technologies to the viable market phase," said Kitu Bindra, founding member of the MIT, Stanford, Berkley Nanotechnology Forum and co-Producer of the Cleantech 2007 event.
Cleantech 2007 Ventures & Partnering Presentation submissions should focus on early stage ventures, and technologies within these technology areas:
Renewable Energy
Enabling Transmission, Geothermal, Hydro, Photovoltaics, Solar
Thermal, Wave, Wind
Clean Technologies
Clean Burning Fuels, Electric Vehicles, Fuel Cells, Hybrid Electric,
Hydrogen, Zero Emissions, Pollution Reduction

About MIT, Stanford, Berkley Nanotechnology Forum
The MIT•Stanford•UC Berkeley Nanotechnology Forum is the largest nanotechnology focused organization of its kind in California. It is dedicated to promoting the burgeoning field of nanotechnology by connecting ideas, technology, and people. The organization is run entirely by unpaid volunteers under the umbrella of the alumni associations of the three universities. As a legal entity, the forum is organized under the MIT Club of Northern California. The Forum was initially formed to serve the alumni communities of MIT, Stanford, and the University of California, Berkeley, but has expended to serve all who are interested in the field of nanotechnology.
The MIT•Stanford•UC Berkeley Nanotechnology Forum provides opportunities for industry experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, private investors, technologists and the interested public to discuss, understand and evaluate the state-of-the art in nanotechnology. The events of the Forum feature leading researchers, business leaders, investors, policy makers, and entrepreneurs active or interested in the field of nanotechnology.
