Abstract:
The 'Application of Nanotechnology in Building Industry' stall in the Six International Nanotechnology Festival presented Iran's latest achievements in commercializing nanotechnology-based products.
Nanotechnology has great effects on various sections of a house, including its life, strength, façade, and interior decoration. It is an important issue that explains why nanotechnology should be used in building industry.
Among the products presented in this stall, mention can be made of thermal insulating paint, decorative crack paint, self-cleaning coatings, low-E double glazing glass, air conditioner by using photocatalysts, two types of ultra-light concrete and high-resistant concrete, PVC tubes strengthened with nanosilica, and soundproof tubes.
Shairf Nano Pars Company has participated in Building Zone of Iran Nano 2013 by presenting self-cleaning nanocoatings that can be used on cloth, glass, mirror, and other surfaces.
Foloot Kaveh Glass Company has also taken part in the Festival to present its various products such as energy controlling glasses (low-E) that is a type of thermal insulator and is used in double glazing windows, and reflective glasses at various shapes and colors to be used in the façade of the building and decorations.
Other companies have presented their products individually in Building Zone of Iran Nano 2013, including Erfan Nanogostar Iriya Trade Company (by presenting its products such as nano-insulator paints, coatings, natural stones coating with nanoparticles), Sharif Solar Cell Company (solar cells), Pooshesh San'at Nanofan, Pishgaman Fanavari Asia, Reef Iran Chemical Industry Complex, Asia Decorative Crack Paint Company, and Kilo Pico Arian Company.
