Abstract:
Representatives of Iran's industrial and technological sectors displayed their activities and achievements in the field of nanotechnology in Russia Open Innovations Expo 2012, which was held at the venue of Moscow Innovations International Expo from October 31 to November 3, 2012.
At the expo, around 250 companies from 10 countries, including Germany, Britain and Belarus, presented to the visitors about 1,000 innovative plans in the fields of nanotechnology, robotics, electronic, green technologies, sustainable fuel resources, information and communication technology, drug and biology, and the infrastructures needed by metropolises in the field of innovation.
More than 20 products and laboratorial devices were introduced in the Iranian pavilion. Among the products and devices, mention can be made of power plants filters modified with nanofibres, nanofiltration membrane, antibacterial polyamide strings, and nanosilica powder.
Sinadoxosome anti-cancer drug, nano-inks for printers, traffic and insulating nanopaints, and silvosept wound bandage were among other the products presented in the expo.
Laboratory devices made in Iran were presented in the expo too. The devices included electrospinning device, equipment to produce nano-colloid powders, scanning probing microscope (SPM), high vacuum deposition devices, and nanomaterials analysis equipment such as spectroscope, capillary electrophoresis and magnetometer.
Meantime, the First Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development was also held parallel to Russia Open Innovation Expo. The 3-day forum was held aiming to develop innovation. In this forum, 300 guest speakers and 4,000 participants from various scientific and research sectors took part and discussed the challengers, opportunities, and theories in the field of various sciences in the future.
