Abstract:
The Iranian Society of Environmentalists (IRSEN) is due to hold the Sixth National Conference and Exhibition on Environmental Engineering from November 10 to 15, 2012.
The conference which is aimed at preparing an appropriate atmosphere to exchange ideas and to persuade researchers to carry out applicable projects in the field of environment is due to be held at the Documentation Centre of University of Tehran.
Among the objectives of the Conference and Exhibition, mention can be made of the creation of an appropriate atmosphere to present environmental achievements of the researchers and industrialists, the formation of useful interaction between the bodies active in this field, and long-term improvement of environment level in the country.
The following issues are among the scopes of the conference, which are related to nanotechnology:
- Application of nanotechnology in the filtration of civil and industrial wastewater (nanofilters);
- Elimination of soil pollutants by using physical, chemical, microbiological and thermal technologies;
- Environmental engineering novel technologies in the refining and elimination of environmental pollutants;
- Novel technologies for the reduction and elimination of gaseous pollutants and industrial emissions.
Educational workshops and exhibitions on the achievements of researchers and industrialists active in the field of environmental engineering will also be held parallel to the conference.
Researchers and students in the related fields of studies are required to submit their articles to the Secretariat of the Conference until the end of the working hours of July 21, 2012.
