Abstract:
Iran's Nanotechnology Initiative Council presented the country's latest achievements and products at the International IRANTEX 2011 Exhibition held in Tehran's Permanent International Fairground from October 16 to 19.
Among the activities of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in this exhibition, mention can be made of cooperation with the existing centers and introducing achievements based on nanotechnology in the field of textile such as waterproof, anti-stain, anti-bacterial, and coolant clothes, clothes with medical and hygiene applications, anti-bacterial strings, and microfibers strings.
In addition, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council's stall received more than 30 cooperation requests by the visitors in this exhibition. Most of the requests were related to the application of nanotechnology in the production of waterproof, anti-stain, and anti-bacterial carpet, coolant coatings, towel with high adsorption capacity, and anti-bacterial clinical curtains.
90 Iranian companies and 120 foreign companies from foreign countries, including India, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, Austria, Italy, Germany, China, Thailand, Switzerland, Indonesia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Spain presented their achievements in the field of textile industry.
Taking part in domestic and international specialized exhibitions is one of the approaches of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council in order to develop the applications of nanotechnology in industrial sections, to introduce the supports and assistances that it can provide for the entrance of companies to the field of nanotechnology such as evaluation and standardization of nanotechnology-based products and the presentation of the products to the market, and to exchange technical know-how between the domestic and international researchers in the field of nanotechnology.
