Abstract:
Lightswitch from CRAIC™ is an optical multiplexer that is attached to a photoport on a microscope or microspectrometer to add more capabilities such as NIR imaging, Raman microspectroscopy, refractive index measurements and more.

Lightswitch from CRAIC™: An optical multiplexer to add spectra and imaging to your microscope

San Dimas, CA | Posted on October 3rd, 2011

CRAIC Technologies, the worlds leading innovator of UV-visible-NIR microspectroscopy solutions, introduce Lightswitch by CRAIC ™, an optical multiplexer for the ultraviolet, visible and NIR regions. This unit is designed to attached to an open photoport to add more capbilities to the microscope or microspectrophotometer to which it is attached. With the ability to switch between multiple paths, Lightswitch by CRAIC™ can be used to add additional imaging and spectroscopic capabilities to your current or future microscope and microspectrometer. These currently include low light level imaging, UV-visible-NIR spectroscopy, UV and NIR microscopy. And more add-on packages are currently being developed.

"CRAIC Technologies is a leading innovator in the field of UV-visible-NIR microanalysis. We have helped to advance the field of microscale analysis with innovative instrumentation, software, research and teaching. Lightswitch by CRAIC™ was developed in response to customer needs to add additional capabilities to their instruments " states Dr. Paul Martin, President of CRAIC Technologies. "Lightswitch by CRAIC™ allows scientists and engineers to cost effectively add capabilities to existing equipment. It is designed to have a broad spectral range from the deep UV to the near infrared as well as first-rate image quality. Simple to use, yet very flexible, Lightswitch by CRAIC™ can be used with many types of microscopes as well as CRAIC microspectrophotometers."
