Abstract:
Pixelligent, LLC, an innovator in the nanotechnology industry that manufactures nanocrystal additives for the electronics, industrial and military markets, today announced that Clayton Teague has joined its Advisory Board. Dr. Teague brings more than 40 years of experience in the field of nanotechnology to Pixelligent's board.

Dr. Teague joins Dr. Larry Thompson, Dr. Karen Brown, Hal Shear, and Robert Bertin.
Beginning with his work on quantum mechanical tunneling in vacuum at Texas Instruments and University of North Texas, Dr. Teague has worked in some of the fields now known as nanotechnology since 1968. As a result of this work, he has authored or co-authored more than 70 papers, holds six patents jointly with colleagues, and has managed a number of large projects in these fields.
Dr. Teague acted as Director of the Federal National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO) from 2003 - 2011. In this position, he reported to the Office of Science and Technology Policy, the office that advises the President and others within the Executive Office of the President on the effects of science and technology on domestic and international affairs. He has also served as Chair of the American National Standards Institute Technical Advisory Group to the ISO Technical Committee on Nanotechnologies (ISO TC 229), acted as president of the American Society for Precision Engineering, is a fellow of the United Kingdom Institute of Physics, and worked as Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Nanotechnology for ten years.
Dr. Teague is the recipient of a number of honors and awards from the government as well as industrial and private organizations for his work. Specifically, he has received the Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and Allen V. Austin Measurement Science Award from the Department of Commerce, the Kilby International Award from the Kilby Awards Foundation, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society for Precision Engineering (2007), a Lifetime Achievement Award from Small Times magazine (2007), a Meritorious Service Award from the American National Standards Institute (2008), a Lifetime Achievement Award from the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (2008), and an IR-100 Industrial Research and Development Award.
