Pittcon 2011 Announces Conferee Networking Session Titles

Pittsburgh, PA | Posted on December 22nd, 2010

The Pittcon Networking Committee is pleased to announce the topics for the Conferee Networking Sessions for Pittcon 2011 from March 13 through March 18, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. These Sessions are a unique networking opportunity for registered conferees with similar interests to get together in an informal setting to brainstorm and share ideas.

Sessions will start on Sunday, March 13 and continue through Wednesday, March 16. Session topics vary and include chromatography, data analysis, environmental, spectroscopy, chromatography, life science, laboratory management-to name a few. There will be 28 total sessions; 20 of these are new with 8 of these popular topics being repeated from last year's program. Four evening sessions are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Current events and popular topics such as food safety of seafood from the Gulf, innovation patents, and techniques in 2D gas chromatography will highlight the program. A sample of the new titles include:

* The Role of Analytical Chemists in an Age of High End Instrumentation and Robotization
* Analytical Methods for Oil-contaminated Seafood from the Gulf Oil Spill
* Biofuels - What Do We Need to Know to Effectively Use, Store, and Transport Them
* Comprehensive 2D Gas Chromatography

Conferee Networking Sessions are open to registered conferees at no extra charge, and no registration is required for participating in the sessions. However, seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
