Abstract:
mPhase Technologies, Inc. (XDSL 0.02, +0.00, +6.21%) today announced that it has been invited to give a technical presentation on smart surfaces and the Smart NanoBattery implementation at a technical symposium hosted at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey on July 26, 2010.
The symposium will highlight research and development advances that incorporate micro- and nanoscale structures and mechanical electrical microsystems (MEMS) designs.
The workshop, organized and attended by the Tri-State University participants and Picatinny Arsenal, is being held to facilitate communications and collaboration among MEMS/NEMS/nanomanufacturing researchers in the New Jersey and New York City metropolitan area. At the workshop, mPhase will discuss how it has incorporated technical advances it has made to control and manipulate a liquid's interaction on a smart surface, to develop the Smart NanoBattery architecture and how it is using silicon fabrication assembly techniques to create the NanoBattery's hermetically sealed packaging enclosure, an important feature for giving the battery its very long shelf life.
"This workshop is a very good opportunity for mPhase to continue to participate with the technical community and highlights the importance of having small business involvement in New Jersey region," said Ron Durando, president and CEO of mPhase Technologies. "We are looking forward to working with Stevens Institute of Technology to promote research, development and commercialization efforts involving these technologies."
