Abstract:
June 8-10, 2010, imec (day 1) and Hilton Antwerp Hotel (days 2-3), Belgium

Conference theme: Nanotechnology shaping a better life in a sustainable society

Imec Technology Forum 2010

The Netherlands | Posted on April 21st, 2010

About the conference

Consumers rarely think of all the ways that technology simplifies their lives. But imec and its partners are constantly monitoring problems and trends and thinking of solutions for each one. How are we going to develop a sustainable and prosperous world for the earth¡¦s population in the 21st century? We are convinced that technology will play an essential role in finding solutions for climate change and the depletion of the earths sources (renewable energy), the ageing population and the rising costs of healthcare (biomedical electronics), sustainable mobility, efficient communication etc.

The Imec Technology Forum brings together executives from companies and institutes in Asia, Europe and the USA to discuss advances in nanotechnology for innovations targeting a better life in a sustainable society.

Conference program

The imec Technology Forum will feature prominent speakers from world-leading companies in semiconductors, healthcare, energy and smart systems. Keynote presentations will be followed by imec¡¦s strategy, achievements and insights.

The following renowned keynote speakers have already confirmed their participation:

„h Ahmad Bahai (Chief Technologist, Fellow, National Semiconductor)
„h Eric Daniels (VP Technology, BP Solar)
„h Magali Haas (Head, Companion Diagnostics & CNS Integrative Solutions, Johnson & Johnson)
„h Meyya Meyyappan (Chief Scientist for Exploration, NASA)
„h Bruno Murari (Scientific Advisor, ST Microelectronics)
„h Louis G. Samuel (Executive Director of Bell Labs Ireland and UK)
„h Phillip Vandervoort (General Manager, Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg)
„h Shang-yi Chiang (TSMC)
„h Paolo Gargini (Intel)
