Nano Cement, Steel & Construction Industries Conference Provided at Look Into the Future of Construction Building Materials

Cairo, Egypt | Posted on June 8th, 2009

It discussed the international nano-construction industry with the latest practical developments for structure, function, energy, sustainability, coatings and biomaterials. The conference addressed the techniques and benefits of investing in and assimilating new technologies for multinational corporations as well as small startups.

Distinguished expert speakers with extensive backgrounds from the global nanotechnology community shared their research with industry executives representing the construction building materials sectors. Elite academic institutions participated including: University of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain, Technical University of Denmark, University of Milan-Bicocca in Italy, and ESPCI ParisTech in France. Participant backgrounds were varied including academics, engineers, corporate executives and business development managers.

Topics Included:
Nano-construction materials and products.
Nano-construction in emerging markets.
Green nano-technology in construction industries.
Worldwide vision for nano-construction.

An overwhelmingly positive response on the conference was reported, with participants commenting that it was a ‘great success' and provided ‘excellent information and networking opportunities'.

Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Mottaleb, CEO and Founder of SabryCorp, the organizer of the conference, reported that the conference met its goal "to promote nanotechnology in constructions' role for sustainable development and global prosperity." He added that the cost-saving and ecological benefits of these new materials enable nanotechnology "to play a significant role in the future of the construction industry".
