Excelsior, MN | Posted on June 14th, 2008

excelcycle has partnered with BH Bikes USA to bring the legendary BH Bikes of Spain to Minnesota. Initially three models will be available for 2008.

Constructed of nanotechnology carbon fiber as one piece, the BH G4 is the team bike of the French professional AG2R team, soon to be seen racing in the Tour de France. The G4 features the innovative BH integrated seat mast, short chainstays and feathery 865 gram weight, giving the G4 superb descending and climbing capabilities. Priced at $7,395 with SRAM Red; other configurations are available.

The BH Connect is another professional-level bike that is also used by the AG2R team. Tube-to-tube high-modulus carbon fiber construction keeps the weight of this stable, comfortable frame at an ultralight 900 grams. In 2006 the Connect was voted "Frame of the Year" in Spain. $5,550 with Shimano Dura Ace.

As an entry-level bike, the BH Speedrom has been applauded in the cycling press. At only $2,799 equipped with a full carbon frame and fork as well as Shimano's Ultegra SL group, it's an exceptional value with performance that rivals much more expensive bikes.

About BH Bikes:
Founded in 1909 by brothers Juan and Cosme Beistegui, BH began as a firearms manufacturer in Eibar, Spain -- in the famed Pyrenees mountains of northern Spain. BH stands for Beistegui Hemanos (Beistegui Brothers in English). In 1923 BH turned its expertise to bicycles, making and racing the new bikes, fielding one of the first pro cycling teams composed of BH employees. BH's racing success include winning the first two Vuelta a Espana tours in 1934 & 1935, with a total of 6 Vueltas won on BH bikes. A 2006 survey of French pros revealed BH to be the bike they'd most like to ride. The 2008 AG2R Pro Tour professional cycling team is sponsored by BH Bikes. More info about BH is available at www.bhbikes-us.com.
