Home > Press > Green Earth Technologies’ G-OIL Establishes New Class of Engine Oil: “High Performance Green”
Abstract:
Naturally Better Than SyntheticsTM
Green Earth Technologies (Pink Sheets:GETG) today announced test results that show G-OILTM "Ultimate biodegradable" products establish a new category: "High Performance Green." Test results for G-OIL™ in 2-cycle engines show that its performance in engines rivals that of synthetic oils like Mobil One™ and that a significantly higher flash point and incredibly low ash content allows for a much cleaner burn. The low ash content results in a low particulate content of the exhaust. Mobil One™ has 150 times more sulfated ash than G-OILTM.
"Imagine the world impact when consumers adopt a proprietary product as revolutionary as this," says Jeff Marshall, Chief Executive Officer and President of Green Earth Technologies. "G-OIL™ allows for no-smoke, no-particulate operation of 2-cycle engines. The advantages for the micro-environment are huge. Not only will it immediately improve the quality of life for people using chainsaws, scooters, leaf blowers, lawn mowers and trimmers, but in countries where small vehicles powered by 2-cycle engines outnumber full-size cars, G-OIL™ can drastically cut pollution and smog-related health problems."
To qualify for API-TC rating, 2-cycle oils must pass engine tests for Lubricity, Pre-ignition, Reduced Piston Varnish Build-up and Second Ring Sticking. G-OILTM exceeded the performance of an ASTM reference oil in all categories. In the Reduced Piston Varnish Build-up and Second Ring Sticking test, G-OILTM averaged 35% better than the reference oil indicating longer engine life.
G-OIL™ also rates as a best overall performer in four critical ASTM tests: Viscosity Index, Flash Point, Pour Point and Sulfated Ash. G-OILTM 2-cycle oil meets established standards for quality of an oil in its category.
