Work on the Nanotechnology centre has started with an initial budget of Rs 2 crore

Abstract:
Nanotechnology: The work on the Nanotechnology centre has started with an initial budget of Rs 2 crore, near the centenary building. The university is planning to develop nano-fertilizer and nano-weedicide.

"After developing manpower and infrastructure we will start offering courses from 2009. We will soon be ordering for equipment worth Rs.5 crore and send our scientists for further training in nano technology," he added.
