Workshop on nanotechnology held
Abstract:
A two-day national workshop on ‘Nanotechnology: Environmental Implications and Solutions' was organised by the Department of Civil Engineering, Annamalai University, Chidambaram on March 9 and 10.
Reputed scientists working in this new area in different disciplines namely Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Fuel Cell Technology, Electro-chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health Engineering, Radiological Safety Engineering, drawn from premier academic and research institutions such as IIT Madras, IGCAR, CECRI, Centre for Fuel Cell Technology, VIT University and Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai, participated in the workshop and delivered technical lectures on their current areas of research in nanotechnology, their significance, likely impacts on the environment.
