Home > Press > Ecology Coatings Targets Asian Market Opportunities in Electronics, Automotive Manufacturing
Abstract:
Ecology Coatings, Inc., a leading developer of nano-engineered industrial coatings for cleaner, more efficient manufacturing, is targeting new market opportunities in Asia with the counsel and support of strategic advisory firm Kissinger McLarty Associates (KMA). During a February trip throughout Hong Kong, Japan, and the Philippines, Ecology Coatings Chairman Richard Stromback will meet with high-ranking economic development, technology and trade officials and key manufacturing business leaders.
"Adding economic value and environmental benefit across an impressively broad spectrum of manufactured goods, Ecology Coatings has a clear opportunity in Asia's large and growing manufacturing sector. This tour marks the launch of Ecology Coatings' aggressive strategy for addressing that dynamic market," said Mr. Stromback. "With the guidance of KMA, Ecology Coatings is working to navigate the risks, opportunities and shear size of the Asian market to position itself as a global nanotechnology company."
As part of his Asia tour, Stromback will be meeting with leading government, economic policy and business decision-makers to discuss opportunities for collaboration including partnerships, technology licensing, and joint development agreements. Planned meetings include the US Commercial Consul in Hong Kong, Advisor to the President of the Philippines and key chemical, medical device, electronics and automotive industry organizations throughout the three countries.
A necessary final step for nearly every manufactured consumer product, conventional coating technologies are time and energy intensive and often contain polluting solvents. Ecology Coatings' nano-enabled products address that bottleneck by delivering dramatic process efficiencies for manufacturers without compromising environmental and public health. The company's innovation and business success has earned Ecology Coatings international recognition. Earlier this year, the World Economic Forum named Mr. Stromback to its prestigious list of 2007 Young Global Leaders. That latest honor adds to a growing list of Ecology Coatings' accolades including: the World Economic Forum's 2006 Technology Pioneer honor, Nanotech Brief's 2006 Nano50 award, a 2005 Wall Street Journal Technology Innovator Award and TIME Magazine's Best Inventions for 2005.
