Delhi fair to focus on small units
Abstract:
Apart from 100 exhibitors, including the auto giants Honda and Toyota, Japan is sending a ministerial and trade delegation led by former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori.
"Not only [the Japanese] Government, but also industry is showing a keen interest in doing what they should have done years ago. They are taking India seriously as a destination for investment," says Gurpal Singh, Deputy Director-General and head, trade fairs, CII. He expects the fair to witness announcements of large-scale Japanese investments in retail, biotechnology and nanotechnology. Joint ventures are expected in the automotive, IT-enabled services, engineering and processing sectors.
