Abstract:
Bio-inspired robotics is a rapidly advancing field solving engineering problems by optimising mechanisms found in nature. The Bio-inspired Robotics Summit will explore this rapidly emerging field and its applications in industrial automation, manufacturing, healthcare, architecture and more.
RE標ORK are pleased to announce their first robotics-focused summit taking place on 29-30 November at the Umweltforum, Berlin.
Bio-inspired robotics is a rapidly advancing field solving engineering problems by optimising mechanisms found in nature. Three main areas of focus are biosensors, bioactuators and biomaterials, with applications ranging from nanotechnology, industrial automation and manufacturing, to healthcare and architectural design. Soft robotics and swarm intelligence are two branches within the field that are growing exponentially.
Why Attend
The RE標ORK Bio-inspired Robotics Summit is a unique opportunity to meet 200+ influential manufacturers, world-leading biomimetics researchers, entrepreneurs and software engineers. Discover how bio-inspired robotics can impact your business and network with innovators in the field.
Over the course of the 2 days you will hear keynote presentations and panel discussions, explore the startup showcase area and connect with international peers. The event will discuss topics ranging from swarm robotics and collective intelligence, to soft robotics, bionics, and nanotechnology.
Previous robotics events attendees include: Rethink Robotics, Microsoft, Amazon Robotics, Qualcomm Ventures, Reach Robotics, Q-Bot, Terrabotics, EcoMachines Ventures and Jibo.
Speakers
Over 25 speakers from multinational corporations, world-renowned academic institutions and cutting edge startups will share their technological advances and innovative applications with the audience.
Confirmed speakers include:
Elias Knubben, Head of Bionic Projects, FESTO
Mirko Kovac, Director, Aerial Robotics Lab, Imperial College London
Barbara Mazzolai, Director, Centre for Micro Biorobotics, IIT
Cecilia Laschi, Director, Robosoft Consortium
Jun Shintake, PhD Researcher, EPFL
