Abstract:
Park Systems, world-leader in atomic force microscopy (AFM) today announced a partnership agreement between their subsidiary Park Systems Japan and JEOL Ltd. to distribute Park Systems Atomic Force Microscope products in the Japanese market. The partnership between JEOL and Park Systems Japan offers customers easy access to premier scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) systems along with the most advanced line of atomic force microscopy (AFM) systems.
"JEOL is the leading electron microscopy manufacturer in the world, and their excellence in their technology shares the excellence in the AFM metrology provided by Park AFM," comments Dr. Sang-il Park, CEO and Chairman of Park Systems Corporation. "We are thrilled that through this distribution partnership, JEOL customers can now access the outstanding customer service that JEOL provides to their customers for our Park Systems AFM products."
JEOL is a leader in bringing high performance electron optics and analytical technology products to the global market for world-class scientific and metrology instruments, industrial equipment, and medical applications. JEOL provides a full line of electron microscopy products, spectroscopy systems, and analyzers. With nearly 3,000 employees, who specialize in state-of-the-art nanoscale imaging and analysis applications, JEOL is positioned to offer best in class products and customer service for high-level research and development activities that require advanced scientific instruments.
"The additional partnership with JEOL will strengthen our powerful sales network throughout Japan. Our combined strengths create a strong sales force in both the academic and industrial markets for the entire Japanese market." comments Noboru Terata, President of Park Systems Japan.
JEOL's experience in imaging and analysis includes expert microscopists and spectrometrists at the JEOL that provide classes for SEM, TEM, Mass Spectrometer, and NMR instrument training. JEOL is recognized as providing world class customer service and is the recipient of both the National Semiconductor Supplier Award and the Best Supplier Award from VLSI Research Inc. In addition, JEOL USA received the Omega Northface Award for the sixth consecutive year in recognition for its commitment to providing exemplary service and exceeding customer expectations.
"Today JEOL has a company slogan "YOKOGUUSHI" which is aiming for synergy effect to provide total solutions for customers. To achieve this, JEOL needed to have the strong atomic force microscopy systems. It is very fortunate to partner with Park Systems, which offers the most advanced technology and the easiest to use AFM systems," comments Mr. Shin-ichi Watanabe, Director and Executive Vice President, and Chairman of JEOL Asia PTE Ltd and JEOL (Beijing) Co., Ltd. "We are happy to partner with Park Systems in offering the Park AFM to the customers we serve in Japan."
The latest trend in advanced semiconductor applications is towards the hybrid metrology model that combines Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) to meet the every shrinking semiconductor geometrics. The 3D non-destructive metrology of AFM ensures the quality in the semiconductor manufacturing line that SEM alone cannot measure. The collaboration between Park Systems and JEOL gives customers easy access to the most advanced SEM, TEM and AFM technology to meet all of their nanoscale imaging requirements.
