The inaugural Graphene World Summit will give attendees an understanding of what's going on in North America, Asia and the EU, plus important updates on investment strategies, intellectual property and applications ranging from flexible electronics to energy storage systems and more. Organizations presenting include Applied Graphene Materials, BESSTECH LLC, Bluestone Global Tech Ltd, Cambridge Graphene Center, Cientifica, Graphene 3D, Graphene Frontiers, Graphene Technologies, Harris & Harris Group, National Physical Laboratory, NUS Graphene Research Centre, Quantum Seed, The InVentures Group, The Marbury Law Group and XG Sciences.

Graphene 2014 will feature keynotes from Dr. Dongmok Whang, Associate Professor, School of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering and SKKU Advanced Institute of Nanotechnology, SKKU and George Gilder, Author and Venture Capitalist, Co-Founder and Fellow, Discovery Institute. As lead researcher, Dr. Whang will share details on the new method developed by SKKU and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology to synthesize large-area graphene into a single crystal on a semiconductor, maintaining its electric and mechanical properties. Gilder will focus on how graphene can transform our lives in meaningful ways, and how will it all play out in the marketplace.

"The Graphene World Summit 2014 will bring together a truly global network of raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, producers, end-users, theoretical and applied researchers and investment experts to explore commercialization, standardization and innovation," said Andrew Smaha, conference director for Smithers Apex.

"The initial response from the market to this event - including strong support from industry leaders like Grafoid; Haydale; MTI Corporation; University of California - Riverside; Focus Graphite; NanoBusiness Commercialization Association; Graphene-Info and the Graphene Stakeholders Association - has us very excited for the face-to-face conversations on graphene that will take place in Berkeley. The potential of this exciting material is great; if you're weighing your role in its future, you simply cannot afford to miss out on the cross-industry networking and learning opportunities that this conference will generate."
