Abstract:
In cooperation with Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, six companies active in the field of nanotechnology put on display the latest applicable achievements of this novel technology in the 19th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition on 6-9 May 2014.

Nanotechnology Achievements Displayed in 19th Int'l Oil, Gas, Refining, Petrochemical Exhibit in Iran

As the second oil producer among the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys 11% of all petroleum reservoirs all over the world and 18% of the natural gas, and it annually hosts international exhibition on oil, gas, refinery, and petrochemical. The exhibition is considered as one of the most important specialized exhibitions on oil and gas in the world from diversity and number of participants points of view.

In this exhibition, six companies active in the field of nanotechnology put on display the latest applicable achievements of this novel technology in cooperation with Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council. Among the participant companies that are active in the field of manufacturing devices and nanomaterials, mention can be made of Plasma Fanavar Amin Company that presents PACVD device, Payam Avaram Nanofanavari Fardanegar Company that presents nanocavitation device, Yar Nikan Saleh Company with ARC deposition device, Nanofanavaran Khavar with industrial nano filters, Advanced Devices Engineering Company (ADECO) that was representative of some of equipment manufacturing companies and presented GCxGC, ultrasonic device, and BET, and Nano Meqyas Fanavaran Company that presented industrial electrospinning device used in petroleum industries.

Creation of an appropriate environment for negotiation, creation of cooperation among the active Iranian bodies in this field and foreign companies that participated in the exhibition, and finding market for domestic nanotechnology-based products in petroleum industry are among the objectives of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council and nanotechnology-based companies that participated in the exhibition.
