The Second National Laboratory Equipment and Chemicals (Iranlabexpo 2014) Exhibition is due to be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairground on 27-30 April 2014.

Secretary of the Exhibition and Deputy of Science and Technology Department of the Presidential Office for Commercialization and Innovation Affairs Dr. Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin elaborated on the organization procedures of the exhibition, and said, "The first National Laboratory Equipment and Chemicals (Made in Iran) Exhibition was held last year by Science and Technology Department of the Presidential Office, and 120 companies presented their latest products and achievements to academic visitors and scientific and research centers."

In this exhibition, 200 productive, equipment, and chemical companies will present over 4,000 types of their products.

Pointing to the fact that over $22 million have been allocated by the government as financial support to help the universities and research centers to buy the required equipment, Sheikh Zeinoddin underlined, "The Science Ministry has a share of $5.5 million, Health Ministry has over $3 million and Science and Technology Department of the Presidential Office has a share of $13.5 million."

He continued, "We estimate that more than $50 million of products will be sold in this exhibition."

According to Sheikh Zeinoddin, 25% of the domestic needs for the equipment can be provided through this exhibition.

The best 10 companies in the exhibition will receive financial support.
