NANOTEC signed 4th NANO Plus Center with PSU

Pathumthani, Thailand | Posted on September 20th, 2013

The aim of the 4 NANO Plus Center is to collaborate in promoting public awareness of nanotechnology in schools and universities. The other 3 NANO Plus Center are based in the north (Rajamongkol Lanna University of Technology, Chiangrai), northeast (Udon thani Rajabhat University), and central region (Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi) of Thailand.

"The collaboration we are undertaking today coincide with the National Nanotechnology Framework which was recently passed by the government which included the need to promote public understanding and awareness of nanotechnology development" said Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director of NANOTEC. "We are very fortunate to be able to work with our NANO Plus partners to leap frog the process of building public awareness of nanotechnology via the teacher trainer approach. We see this as the most effective multiplying tool for the task".

It is expected that the 4 centers will promote nanotechnology awareness to approximately 100,000 audiences per year.
