Abstract:
IDTechEx held its Graphene LIVE! tradeshow and conference in Berlin over April 17-18, 2013. This event was co-located with Printed Electronics, TCF LIVE!, Energy Harvesting and Supercapacitor events. It brought together key players from both the supply and end user parts of the value chain. Graphene LIVE! is part of a global series of conferences, the next event will be held in Santa Clara, California at November 20-21, 2013 (www.IDTechEx.com/GrapheneUSA).

Graphene LIVE! - a business-driven event on graphene

Santa Clara, CA | Posted on May 9th, 2013

End user and business-driven event

Graphene LIVE! is positioned as the only application and business-orientated event on graphene globally. Graphene suppliers benefit enormously from this co-location, as they find in one place several of their major end user groups. The transparent conductive film community is present, so are the supercapacitor and functional ink suppliers and users. These markets together represent the largest short- to medium-term commercial opportunity for graphene players. This instantly enables our attendees and exhibitors to do business in a relevant and competitive tradeshow floor with the right audience. Indeed, J. Patrick Frantz of Cambridge Graphene Platform attests to this by saying that:

"Cambridge Graphene Platform exhibited at this event and I am so busy following up leads that I don't have time to say all the positive things I wish to say in this quote! This is by far the best commercial event available." J. Patrick Frantz, Cambridge Graphene

At Graphene LIVE!, you will hear from leading players in the emerging graphene space. The talks are also application- and/or business-driven. At the same place and the same time, you will also hear from players developing and/or commercialising competing technologies with similar target markets. This allows our attendees to develop a full and detailed picture of the competitive landscape.

Our feedback has been very strong. This is because the competitive market-driven environment that our event creates enables a more critical and realistic assessment of emerging technologies, including graphene. This sets it apart from singularly-focused and/or academic events where either the emphasis is purely on scientific discovery or the critical end-user perspective is lacking.
