Abstract:
The second round of nanotechnology training course to strengthen human resources was held in Iran on February 13-15, 2013, in a bid to teach entrepreneurship and commercialization skills to students at higher levels of education in nanotechnology-related fields of studies.
In this three-day camp, 140 freshmen in nanotechnology majors at M.Sc. level participated from 24 universities and research centers all over the country. Among the educational programs in this camp, mention can be made of the organization of a few educational courses in the forms of class, workshop, roundtable, and Q and A sessions, mainly focused on entrepreneurship and commercialization, experience transference of successful entrepreneur in nanotechnology, experience transference in the field of nanotechnology theses based on industrial needs, and strengthening their connections with the authorities and experts of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council.
Strengthening university students in nanotechnology fields of study and majors to help them enter the labor market, helping with the applied subject for theses at higher levels of education, and the provision of consultation to correctly determine the educational and career path were among the objectives of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council for the organization of the educational courses.
The first training nanotechnology course was held in February 2012, and 130 students studying at nanotechnology fields of study participated in it from 19 universities and research centers.
