The challenges and opportunities associated with New York's growing clean energy industry will be the topic of discussion as the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the University at Albany hosts "Exceeding Expectations: Cleantech Entrepreneur Roundtable" on Friday, November 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex.
The event is part of CNSE's fifth annual celebration of NANOvember, a unique month-long event designed to showcase the growing impact of nanotechnology on society and the global leadership of CNSE and New York State in this exciting field. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a networking reception for all attendees.
The interactive Cleantech Entrepreneur Roundtable will feature a mix of investors and successful entrepreneurs who will assess the current state of the cleantech industry and take part in an engaging question and answer session. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Pradeep Haldar, CNSE Vice President for Clean Energy Programs, and includes Mark Austin, Bright Capital Venture Partner, Chandler Reed Managing Director and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Entrepreneur-In-Residence; Michael Shimazu, NYSERDA Senior Project Manager, Innovation and Business Development; Rob Day, Black Coral Capital Partner; Jeffrey Seul, Holland & Knight Partner and Angel Investor; Dr. Yash Puri, Magnolia Solar Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; and Robert Schwartz, Schwartz Heslin Group Managing Director, among others.
