![]() |
Abstract:
"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away" (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry).
Nanosurf's latest atomic force microscope system, the NaioAFM, is the embodiment of this idea: it combines a compact AFM and its controller assembled in one piece. Fewer cables, fewer plugs, no loose parts, no adjustment of components, and no alignment of laser, all lead to a setup time that will have you waiting for your PC to finish starting up.
The NaioAFM integrates scan head, controller, video camera, XY-stage, air-flow protection, and anti- vibration isolation in a single, robust and elegant device. Connect the power supply and USB cable, place a sample, and you are ready to explore the nanoworld using contact mode, dynamic mode, phase contrast and many more.
Squeezing everything into one single device not only reduces footprint and setup time, it also allows for an unmatched price tag. Together with its ease of use, robustness and portability, this makes the NaioAFM the ideal solution for all your teaching classes and practical trainings. For small samples the NaioAFM is a valuable tool even beyond teaching.
