Abstract:
Iran's Fourth Nano Teaching Exam is scheduled to be held in Amir Kabir University of Technology in Tehran on October 18, 2012.
The main goal of the exam is to evaluate the scientific capabilities and skills of the contestants in transferring the concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Participants who acquire the required points in the scientific and educational indices will receive Nano Teaching Certificate from Promotion Workgroup of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) at the three levels of 'Grade A', 'Grade B', and 'Grade C'.
The exam consists of descriptive questions. In addition to scientific skills, the rhetoric skills and the use of appropriate examples in transferring the concepts will be evaluated in the exam too.
According to the regulations of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, contestants who acquire Nano Teaching Certificate can receive financial support for the organization of educational and promotional nanotechnology seminars.
Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council has provided the organizers of scientific and promotional nanotechnology seminars at the levels of universities and schools with financial supports since 2007.
Aiming to improve the quality of nanotechnology teaching, Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council has organized Nano Teaching Exam since 2011 in order to train nanotechnology teachers.
Based on the regulations of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, people who have obtained Nano Teaching Certificate can benefit from financial support provided by the INIC.
