Abstract:
Iran's Parto Negar Persia Company announced filing of a patent entitled 'Non-linear Filter for Medical Imaging' under the registration No 20120027274 in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The invention involves the creation of an algorithm to process the nuclear signals.
The invention can improve the quality of devices used in nuclear medical imaging. The algorithm has also been used in HiReSPECT device, made by Parto Negar Persia Company.
Devices SPECT (Single Photon Emission Tomography) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) are used in medical studies in order to follow nanodrugs in the bodies of laboratorial animals.
Parto Negar Persia Company, located in the Growth Center of Research Centre of Medical Devices of University of Tehran, is active in the field of designing and production of imaging devices. The company has benefited from the financial supports of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council to file its patent.
