Abstract:
The theoretical examination of the 3rd Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students was held with the participation of 16,083 students in 25 Iranian provinces on Friday.
Participants from all over the country took part in a scientific competition in 105 examination centers in 74 cities of Hamedan, Tehran, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Semnan, North Khorassan, Golestan, Boushehr, Kurdistan, Qom, Ardabil, Fars, Razavi Khorassan, Isfahan, Kohgilouye and Boyer Ahmad, East Azarbaijan, Sistan and Balouchestan, Markazi, Alborz, Kerman, Yazd, Ilam, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiyari, and South Khorassan provinces to receive necessary qualifications for the second stage of the examination.
The number of participants in the first stage examination of the 3rd Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students showed a growth of four times in comparison with the previous year.
The theoretical examination of the 3rd Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students was consisted of 60 questions. The result of the first stage of the Olympiads will be announced by Nano Club next month. Participants who are qualified for the next stage of the examination are required to pass the practical examination on July 17, 2012, after taking part in a scientific camp and participating in nanotechnology educational courses.
The final winners of the 3rd Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students will be introduced in summer 2012.
