The Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council provided over 27,000 school students all over the country with nanotechnology education by organizing 14 weeks of nanotechnology education in the last Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2011 to March 19, 2012).
Nano Week was held in the provinces of North Khorassan, Hormozgan, Yazd, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Khorassan Razavi, Fars, Hamedan, Semnan, Golestan, East Azarbaijan, Kurdistan, and Qom.
Among the educational programs during the Nano Week Exhibitions, mention can be made of the organization of Introduction to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Seminar, exhibition of Nanotechnology Products in various industries such as textile, agriculture, home appliance and cosmetics, Nano Cinema, introducing Nano Hour Monthly, and the organization of two competitions entitled 'Students' Ideas' and 'Nano Puzzle'.
Nano Club is in charge of nanotechnology education and promotion at school student level, and it was established and is being supported by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council. The establishment of nanotechnology education website (nanoclub.ir), the organization of Nano Week in various provinces of the country, and the organization of Nanotechnology Olympiads for Students at the national level are among the most important activities of Nano Club.
