Location: Germany, Black Forest, Bad Herrenalb

The 2012 International Summer Schools of the DFG-Center for Functional Nanostructures (CFN) will be held in the fields of nano-photonics (Sep. 10th -13th, 2012) and nano-energy (Sept. 14th-17th, 2012) - two main areas of research at the CFN. Meeting place is the Evangelische Akademie in Bad Herrenalb (Black Forrest) in Germany.

In four-day sessions invited experts from international and German research institutions will give thorough and in-depth introductions into these specific fields as well as cover specialized research topics.

The school is intended for advanced graduate students, postdocs and interested scientists in general. To further scientific exchange and discussion, each participant is expected to present a poster describing her/his scientific background, research interests or current research project.
Deadline for registration is July 1st, 2012.
