Abstract:
Promotion Workgroup of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council provided support for the purchase of 9,880 volumes of nanotechnology books in 80 titles from July 2010 to October 2011.
In this period, more than $20,000 was paid in subsidy for the purchase of the books.
Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council has paid 40% of the prices of general and specialized nanotechnology books that have acquired the least qualitative requirements since July 2010. This program is being carried out in association with Mehr Vision Technology Development Company in order to provide the researchers, university students, and students with facile access to scientific and educational nanotechnology sources.
The books are presented in specialized and also public educational fields. The specialized books are presented to academic readers while the general books can be used by students and the interested people.
Nanotechnology book shops have so far been organized in more than 18 scientific centers, including universities, schools, and specialized exhibitions and festivals in Tehran, Yazd, Markazi, Semnan, Northern Khorassan, Eastern Azarbaijan, Isfahan, and Sistan and Balouchestan provinces.
