Abstract:
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Institute of Sharif University of Technology announced that for the promotion and public education of nanotechnology, publication of a promotional article, extracted from the PhD theses, in Persian is mandatory for the approval of student proposals.
Therefore, nanotechnology students at PhD level are required to publish a promotional article in Persian journals in addition to publishing international articles before they submit their theses.
"Valuable achievements are obtained in the realm of knowledge, especially in nanoscience and nanotechnology, but the results are usually published in international journals in foreign languages. We can provide the university students and the interested people with the opportunity to be aware of the achievements obtained in this field of technology by publishing the result of the researchers in Persian journals," the deputy of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Institute of Sharif University of Technology told the news service of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, pointing to the important role of this decision in the promotion and public education of nanotechnology.
According to Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Ahadiyan, nanotechnology students at PhD level in this university are required to publish at least one article in the Iranian promotional journals in addition to publishing ISI articles from their thesis and presenting achievements based on nanotechnology in the domestic or international exhibitions.
Dr. Ahadiyan added that the publication of articles in promotional nanotechnology monthly journals is a priority. Among the most important objectives of this plan, mention can be made of introducing students in the field of nanotechnology to the scientific and academic centers and being in agreement with the global scientific society in the field of nanotechnology.
