Iran's Islamic Azad University is scheduled to hold an international conference entitled 'Nanostructures and Nanomaterials: Science and Applications' at the venue of the university on February 7 to 9.

Providing a background for information exchange and stimulating researches to conduct practical projects on nanomaterials, identification of industry demands, acquisition of the latest scientific and research achievements in nanotechnology and establishing communications between professors, students and experts are some aims pursued by this conference.

The topics of the conference are as follows:

- Modeling and Simulation of Nanomaterials and Nanodevices

- Nanodevice Fabrication

- Nanomaterials Applications
- Nanomaterials Application for Photovoltaic Device
- Nanomaterials Application for Energy Generation and Energy Conversion
- Nanomaterials Application for Thin Film Transistor (TFT)
- Nanomaterials Application for Environmental Science
- Nanomaterials Application for Biology and Medicine
- Nanomaterials Application for Optoelectronics and Photonics
- Nanomaterials Application for Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry

The Iranian and foreign lecturers are due to address the participants during the conference. Examples are Prof. Ali Mansouri from University of Chicago, Prof. Nader Jalili from North Boston University, and Prof. Gupta from Indian Rouki Technology Institute.
