Abstract:
The University of North Carolina System board of governors on Friday unanimously approved N.C. A&T's request to establish a doctoral program in nanoengineering.
The program is the fourth and final one that will be offered at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. The school is under construction on East Lee Street and is scheduled to open in January.
Nanoscience is the study of atoms and molecules smaller than 100 nanometers. The joint school is a venture of UNCG and N.C. A&T.
UNCG is offering degrees in nanoscience; A&T is offering degrees in nanoengineering.
