Home > Press > Microline PV Formed to Commercialize Revolutionary PV Technology: New Company to Use Technology Developed by Nano Terra to Improve Performance and Cut Costs of Solar Cells
Abstract:
US Equity Holdings and technology development company Nano Terra, Inc. today announced the formation of Microline PV LLC, which will develop and commercialize solar photovoltaic (PV) technology.
Developed by Nano Terra, Microline PV's metallization technology will bring significant performance improvements to crystalline silicon PV cells. Microline PV's new technology can be used directly in equipment that is already deployed in nearly every crystalline silicon PV manufacturing facility today. Moreover, the technology is compatible with the most commonly used silver pastes, a key component in the fabrication of PV cells.
"Our initial tests demonstrate the potential for Microline PV's technology to provide a dramatic increase in cell performance while requiring no capital investment in new equipment," said Greg Knight, President of Microline PV. "We are confident that this technology will provide a very substantial increase in cell efficiency and a decrease in cost per watt, which will lead to rapid industry-wide adoption."
Myer Berlow, CEO of Nano Terra, said, "We are thrilled to be partnering with US Equity Holdings to launch this exciting new venture. They have a proven track record in the PV industry, are well capitalized and have considerable experience in bringing game-changing products and technologies like ours to market quickly and successfully."
"Microline PV represents a deepening of our commitment to world-class technologies that have a potentially disruptive impact in renewable energy," said Chester Aldridge, Chairman of US Equity Holdings.
