Abstract:
Iran's Nano Club earlier this week held the first webinar to prepare students interested in attending Student Nanotechnology Olympiad.
Given the numerous requests made by students who could not attend the Olympiads courses, the first workshop of this educational course was held on June 20, 2011. The course lasted one hour with the focus on nanomaterials.
Registration for this internet course was free, and the applicants were only required to fill in the registration form.
The number of students who are interested in nanotechnology in Iran is more than 60,000. Considering the dispersion of the students all over the country, Nano Club has decided to use new educational methods, and the abovementioned webinar was held to meet the Iranian students' needs.
Among the other objectives of the educational courses held by Nano Club, mention can be made of training the next generation of university students in the country so that they can enter the university with desirable knowledge about nanotechnology and they increase the rate of nanotechnology production in the country in future.
