NanoDays is a nationwide celebration of nanotechnology aimed at teaching the general public--particularly children--about nano science and invention and the role it plays in our daily lives.

The public is invited to participate in hands-on demonstrations of Bionic Nanotechnology function.

The staff from Nanotec-USA will have examples of everyday materials that have been treated with Nanotec-USA's NanoBionics Smart Surface treatments.

See how water beads up on sand acquired from the beach in Galveston, Texas that has been made Bionic. Watch the same NanoBionic sand grab oil from sea water. NanoBionic jute (burlap) material will be demonstrated in its ability to clean floating oil spills.

Watch in amazement as drops of water race across cork and textiles that have been made Bionic.

Watch as fine dirt is self-cleaned from glass that has been made Bionic when you roll a drop of water across the surface. Watch this youtube video of NanoBionics in action as a NanoBionic Jeep drives through muddy water. NanoBionic Jeep Video

There will be examples of how Bionic Nanotechnology is in use on consumer electronics to be made easier to clean. Observe gold plated surfaces that are now protected from damage caused by finger oils.

Learn the difference between hydrophobic and hydrophilic Bionic function and he benefits of each.

Learn how NanoBionic Nanotechnology has helped a land speed record car go faster with less fuel and power, due to an increase in laminar flow and an increase in aerodynamic efficiency.

Learn how NanoBionic Nanotechnology can help reduce maintenance and fuel consumption on aircraft.

Try your best to get a drop of water to go into holes in wood treated with our NanoBionics WoodGuard treatment.

Learn how vehicles are transformed into virtually self-cleaning and more fuel efficient machines that require less maintenance to the surfaces treated with NanoBionics Nanotechnology products. Take a look at this video of Nanotec-USA transforming a show vehicle during the Las Vegas SEMA Show. This H2 Tank was built by ProMotor Sports.

In cooperation with Steve Madewell, Manager of Spark!Lab, there will be a live display showing tomato plants that have been grown using Bionic sand as a man-made water table.

We had a great time last year during the NanoDays 2010 event, teaching the kids, their parents and teachers about how Nanotec-USA NanoBionics treatments can make life cleaner and easier one nano-particle at a time.
