Edmonton Nanotechnology Researchers Earn Entry in Guinness World Records
Abstract:
Scientists at the National Institute for Nanotechnology in Edmonton now have a place in the Guinness World Records for creating a microscope tip that's only as wide as an atom.
The induction came as a surprise to research scientist Robert Wolkow, the head of the research team that created the tip in 2006.
"It's fun. As a kid, I used to sit around with other kids and look at the paperback version of the World Records," he said Tuesday. "I guess it's cute and gratifying to see our work there."
