Adam Hall, PhD, assistant professor of nanoscience at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, will lead the March installment of Science on Tap.

The informal discussion entitled "Life at the Small End: Nanoscience in the Study of Biology" will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at The Green Bean coffee shop, 321 S. Elm Street, Greensboro.

Hall's research interests lie at the intersection of nanotechnology and biophysics. His lab is developing novel fabricated structures at the nanometer scale and using them to detect, manipulate and probe single biological molecules.

There are two more Science on Tap events during the spring semester. On April 5, Janne Cannon, PhD, professor in UNC Chapel Hill's Department of Microbiology and Immunology, will lead the conversation "Vaccines: Are the Fears Justified?" On May 3, Promod Pratap, PhD, professor and head of the UNCG Department of Physics and Astronomy, will lead the discussion "Physics of the Human Body."
