Home > Press > RFID Europe Attracts Considerable Interest
Abstract:
The forthcoming RFID Europe event in Cambridge UK 28-29 September has attracted considerable interest due to the selective coverage of particularly promising sectors and the appreciable number of end users present.
In addition, the organisers - leading analysts IDTechEx - make sure it is truly international, with everything relevant to Europe even if it is taking place elsewhere before happening in Europe. Indeed, the rapidly growing delegate lineup includes people from Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy and Korea - just to take the beginning of the alphabet. They are even flying in from Singapore, the USA and Romania. Exhibition space is nearly sold out at 22 exhibitors with only one exhibitor space remaining.
Organiser Dr Peter Harrop of IDTechEx says, "We are particularly delighted that there are so many delegates and speakers are end users and prospective end users. The presentations from BMW, European retailers Gerry Weber and NP Collection, Centre Pompidou, Goodyear, Cambridge County Council Libraries, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Copenhagen Airports show how we have carefully chosen a broad sweep of demand to root the event in reality. This is not techies talking to techies. Indeed, where suppliers are speaking we have chosen the leaders such as NXP and Smartrac, respectively global leaders in RFID chips and passport RFID and the most exciting new arrivals. We have also taken care to cover the newer types of RFID such as Wireless Sensor Networks. "
